Katie Campbell is a true Los Angeles native! Born into a musical family, Katie spent her youth in piano lessons, dance classes, and putting on shows in her parents' kitchen. She graduated from the kitchen to the Hamilton High School Academy of Music, and continued her musical education at Western Michigan University.

Katie's professional musical experience ranges from touring as a background singer with Sheryl Crow, to singing on Bobby McFerrin’s GRAMMY-nominated album “VOCAbuLarieS”, to singing on film scores, including “The Day the Earth Stood Still,” “The Last Airbender,” “Joyful Noise,” and “John Carter.” Katie had the privilege of recording a guide vocal for Barbra Streisand (music composed by Bryan Adams), and also sang on NBC's show "The Playboy Club," musically produced by The Transcenders. Katie was a featured vocalist at the Grammy Foundation's signature gala entitled "Starry Night" honoring Sir George Martin, and has also sung with/for Stevie Wonder, Elvis Costello, Seth MacFarlane, Ziggy Marley, and Michael Bublι.

Katie is currently a featured recording artist for BuySoundTrax Records, featuring arrangements by Dennis McCarthy and Dominik Hauser, Dan Redfeld, Joohyun Park, and Brandon Verrett. BSX Records tracks are readily available on iTunes. In addition, Katie has just released her first solo album, entitled End of the Beginning, produced by LA session singer Fletcher Sheridan, and engineered by Nels Jensen. Last July, she performed her CD Release Show to a sold-out Jazz Bakery crowd!

Katie's debut television performance was on the 49th Annual Grammy Awards singing with Gnarls Barkley, and debut film performance was as a dancer in “Seven Days of Grace (as Kathryn Campbell).” She has been a featured vocalist with the San Gabriel Seven (Pasadena), The Wee Trio (New York City), and the New West Guitar Quartet (Los Angeles). Katie also sang soprano in the LA-based jazz ensemble The Ron McCurdy Collective, and is the soprano on their CD entitled "April in Paris."

With a background in musical theater, Katie's post-college career began as the female stand-by in the off-Broadway show “Loudmouth” with the a cappella group Toxic Audio. She also toured throughout the Caribbean and Mexico with Toxic Audio.

Katie earned her Bachelor of Music degree in "Jazz Studies" from Western Michigan University. While pursuing her studies she earned a DownBeat Magazine Award for "Best Collegiate Jazz Vocalist". Katie has had the privilege to perform throughout the United States, in numerous European countries (including France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Latvia, Estonia, and the Czech Republic), South Africa, and most recently in Seoul, South Korea as a performer and clinician. She formerly taught for the Bachelor Degree Program at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA, and currently teaches voice and piano lessons at Coast Music Conservatory in Hermosa Beach, CA.

In her spare time, Katie is pursuing her Master of Arts in "Humanities" at the California State University, Northridge, and is a member and artist in Tony Sears’ acting workshop “The Physics of Acting.” Katie is also a certified yoga instructor, and maintains her practice.
